Holly is a globally renowned content curator, powerful speaker and master questioner with an insatiable curiosity to ask ‘why’. As the CEO of Emergent, a company specialising in disruptive strategy, Holly builds the capacity of leaders to execute change.Having interviewed the likes of Barack Obama, Richard Branson, Billie Jean-King and Condoleezza Rice, Holly breaks open obscure technical language, impenetrable challenges and closed-source intelligence to ignite inclusive debate.
Prior to Emergent, her corporate career involved working as Chief of Staff to NAB Wealth CEO Andrew Hagger and alongside Rio Tinto CEO Sam Walsh. In 2012, she was the youngest person to be named in Australia’s ‘100 Most Influential Women’, and decided to use her voice to impact change, intergenerational dialogue and greater equality globally.
In 2014, the Australian Prime Minister appointed Holly to Chair the G20 Youth Summit and in 2016, she was appointed to Co-Chair the United Nations Coalition of Young Women Entrepreneurs. Holly is also the youngest ever woman appointed to the board of an AFL football club.
She’s presented across 6 continents, including delivering a Peace Charter to the Dalai Lama, regularly features on television panels and in 2016, was listed by Sir Richard Branson as one of his dream dinner guests. She was a nominee for Wired Magazine’s ‘Smart List’ of future game changers to watch and in 2018, she was personally requested by Barack Obama to moderate an hour-long conversation during his only engagement in Australia.
Currently, our speaker is a Fulbright Scholar, undertaking a Master of Public Policy as a Harvard Kennedy School Class ’21 Fellow. In 2021, Holly will release her new book, The Leading Edge, through Penguin. As the world emerges from COVID19, Holly aims to fuel a groundswell of brave leaders to step forward to shape a better tomorrow.
