Alex Zapple, CMP, CEM has been in the meetings/events industry for over 15 years and currently is the Director of Meetings and Member Experience at the American Society of Nephrology. In her role she manages logistics including site selection, contracting and event management for Kidney Week, a 14,000 person city-wide meeting, and also additional meetings for ASN. She managed Kidney Week 2020 Reimagined and Kidney Week 2021, which were both fully virtual meetings and most recently fully managed Kidney Week 2022, which was an in-person and virtual meeting. ASN. Prior to the American Society of Nephrology, Alex worked at SmithBucklin for 7 years, where she worked with many different client associations in the fields of healthcare, science, financial services, government, and business trade. Alex has planned meetings and events all over the United States and globally in Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Alex serves on several advisory boards and councils.
