Asa Ace is a DJ and event curator based in Dallas, Texas. Born in St. Louis, raised in Virginia Beach, and having spent most childhood summers in Ghana, West Africa, Asa’s musical style reflects the diverse places she has called home. DJ Asa Ace is an open format DJ and also a multi-cultural DJ — spinning sets that include worldwide sounds guaranteed to move any crowd. After hearing a live set from Chicago’s footwork DJ Taye of TEKLIFE, Asa began steering her career toward DJing. Shortly after getting in contact with her uncle, DJ/Producer B-Money (who was involved in the 90s hip-hop era in NYC and later Japan), Asa purchased a Serato Controller and a pair of 1200 Technics. After a lot of self-taught lessons and apprenticeships with local DJs, Asa learned how to heal people and herself through her creativity and music.
